The Imperial Coalition (IC) is a union of international city-states. As of 2021 it is a member of the United Imperial Provinces (UIP). The member states operate as semi-independent exclaves. The capital and largest town of the Imperial Coalition is Okeogi, founded in 2018 by
marioboyrc and
Varuker it is also it's oldest town. The Imperial Coalition is led by an elected Prime Minister and operates under the Imperial Coalition Charter. The various territories are vastly different from each other and focus on different building styles and industries. Key administrative locations include the Capital Plaza in Okeogi, Union Office Building in Riveria (founded by
ItIsAris), and the Imperial Coalition and UIP joint administration castle in New Edago (founded by
LukeIsStuff).
Early History
The modern Imperial Coalition traces it's history back to the reorganization of the Greater Okeogi region and old Okeogi before that. It was meant as a way for citizens who wanted to take a chance and create their own towns while having access to the influence and resources of Okeogi. These resources include cash, inventories, and a consolidated discord server. This allowed residents of any Imperial Coalition town to live, mine, buy, or sell in any other town. As a result, local shopping became very popular vs using the player market or Admin shop. Ultimately, this reorganization and international experiment would prove highly successful becoming become one of the largest and most populous empires in RetroMC history. Larger towns such as Riveria would sign onto the IC Charter encouraging young startup towns to also join. However, several incidents early on called this experiment into question.

The First Election
As outlined in the Imperial Coalition charter, "A figure head of the Imperial Coalition shall be determined in an election in which a simple
majority or plurality selects a candidate. He will be the prime minister." The Governor of Okeogi,
marioboyrc, would assume the title as the first Prime Minister of the Imperial Coalition. He would oversea the early stages of the international movement and set up a proper election to elect a new Prime Minister. Read about it at the link below.
Organization of Government
The Imperial Coalition charter outlined the way the Coalition government would be set up. It called for the following:
- A Prime Minister. They will have the power to unilaterally appoint ministers to specific topics (such as the environment or transportation). Any proposals the ministers have can be vetoed by the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister can also revoke any non-residents building permissions and/or close any embassies or shops they might have.
- A Coalition Assembly. They will be called whenever a domestic cross-border matter needs to be resolved. This name is given to any gathering, in-person or on discord, of every Coalition resident who is willing and able to vote.
- An administrative body called the Mayors of the Union. This is any Coalition resident that is recognized as controlling a town or domain. They will vote on what the charter refers to as "special conditions"
- An Imperial Commissioner. This is a position granted to a highly-trusted individual and approved by the Prime Minister and the Mayors of the Union. They will be experts in towny commands and will be called upon to carry out any official policy to the extent that it requires the use of the Towny Plugin.

The United Imperial Provinces
In early 2021, the Imperial Coalition formally agreed to send a proposal to the leader of the near-spawn nations Kekistan and the recently established Amish City. All nations agreed and the United Imperial Provinces (UIP) was established. The membership includes all Imperial Coalition towns and territories.
