NorthernEmpires is a nation which contains the village of the same name among several others. It was created on 7 April 2026, becoming the first nation created since the introduction of nations within JVillage earlier on the same day.

As of August 2026, it is one of three nations on RetroMC, the others being the Miterian Empire and United Steves of America.

History

In the past, nations existed on RetroMC as part of the Towny plugin. After the move to JVillage, these ceased to exist. However on 7 April 2026, nations were introduced into JVillage, costing $50,000 to create. The owner of the NorthernEmpires village,  SFRricraz63, created the NorthernEmpires nation on 7 April 2026, becoming the first player to create a nation under the new system.

On 19 April 2026, DogTown and PumpkinWood joined the nation, followed by GoatedLands on 21 April 2026.

At some point between late April and early July 2026, Goated left the nation, becoming the first village to do so.

The villages Canada and WoolMart joined the nation on 5 July 2026. RMCURA, owned by NorthernEmpires assistant  Spencer199, joined the nation in mid-July 2026.

War with U.S.A.

NorthernEmpires became implicated in a conflict with the United Steves of America nation in the wake of the FishTown Dispute, a village joined NE in the midst of a diplomatic crisis with the U.S.A, escalating into a minor conflict. After a ceasefire between FishTown and U.S.A. ended and hostilities resumed on 10 August 2026, NE owner  SFRricraz63 saw FishTown as having been wrongfully attacked, and felt himself obligated to defend the nation member, thus declaring war on the United Steves in the early hours of 11 August 2026.
