DogTown is a town created and owned by
DogPool_. Upon it's creation in August, it was long restricted from public and hasn't seen much growth. In September though, things have turned around and the town began expanding rapidly both in members and builds. [update paragraph?]

On November 29, 2024 a Discord server dedicated to DogTown was created by
DogPool_.
On December 4, 2024 the Boat Contest was announced, initially with a deadline of January 1, 2025. though later being pushed back to the middle of February.
On December 17, 2024 the opening of the DogShop was officially announced.
2025
January 16, 2025 marks the official opening of the DogTown mine.

Central Town

Central Lake
The lake between DogTown and CatVille ist surrounded by fairly steep, wooded cliffs.

CatVille
CatVille is located across the central lake from DogTown. They are connected by a bridge which features many glowstone lamps.

This statue, depicting the famous movie character Deadpool, is 32 blocks tall and made entirely out of colored wool.

Events
Boat Contest
On December 4, 2024 the DogTown Boat Contest was launched, with the stated goal being to increase the number of boats in the harbor. Participants are to submit pictures of their boats on Discord, where voting will take place. Those players whose boats are voted first, second, and third place will recieve a cash prize of $3000, $1500, and $500 respectively.
The deadline was initially set as January 1, 2025. It was extended to February 1, 2025 on December 17, 2024.
By early January 2025, only one entry, consisting of a single wooden plank with a sign simply stating "raft", had been completed. In order to increase participation, the rules were relaxed to include all types of watercraft.
On January 12, 2025
DogPool_ extended the deadline, for the final time, to February 14, 2025.
Foreign Relations
DogTown has friendly relations with the neighboring NorthernEmpires. The two villages have agreed to construct a direct road connection, which as of January 2025 is currently under construction.
