The RetroMC Wiki will ruin your life
Notice: This page was made for humorous purposes, and as such, the following info shouldn't be taken seriously.
Or if you prefer, "enhance your life".
TV Tropes can ruin your life, and it applies to both readers and editors. What makes this very wiki different apart from the content matter is the encyclopedia-like writing style of most articles, which dampen its addictive attributes, although for some articles, the writing style is twisted, bent, modified, edited and manipulated in ways that would make any reader chuckle - for readers, reading the wiki can indeed be fun and even editors can have some fun. :)
Mostly.
Formatting hell
To make decorations as seen in the main page and RetroMC Inc.'s press release, editors had to resort to using the Sorcery of.. Dark Arts™!.. [thunder crackles]
..as in, HTML and CSS. [low pitched trumpet blow]
Using these to decorate pages can take quite a while to get right, not to mention the amount of troubleshooting if even more advanced CSS is applied.
Documenting stuff can take a while
Adding images to the b1.7.3 data values page took a lot of time, and it was not fun.
Ade1ie,
Noggisoggi and
zavdav added the images.
The page itself consisted of ~30k bytes, which is longer than the RSPM and the timeline for ObsidianCore – both pages document policy and lore respectively, and both got beaten in length by mere external image links.
If you're making a page about a town/building/whatnot, then it's most likely you'll take several screenshots, which can eat up storage space over time (Unless you're a staff member; in which case, the screenshot amount will get larger due to evidence.) if not moved to an external drive and/or deleted from your local machine. If you look at most images on this wiki, there won't be a description (or "File uploaded via MsUpload") due to the fact that it eats time, and barely anyone looks at said image pages anyways; as such, MsUpload is recommended.
However, prior to July 27th 2023, Special:Upload was the only option, leading to even more monotony. This was the case with the Dungeon page, as well as some of the early images on this very wiki.
Crystallitis spread
Not even the wiki is safe from the influence of crystallitis and plasmoids. There is a myth floating around that editing this wiki causes you to contract crystallitis, and that trojan horse brain worm virus that attacks your cerebral cortex and paralyzes you to love RetroMC[citation needed].
The dungeon may have some similar.. effects.
Besides, it may be possible that Unholy Deity's YouTube playback unreliability may be caused by the eevil crystallitis variants infecting YouTube HQ to–

Now that person's out of the way.. I'm the founder and CEO of Aperture– wrong company.
..I'm the CEO of RetroMC Incoporated, Scout. I apologize for the sudden interruption, but that person was spouting some lies.
I have to admit, I deal with crystallitis, but there is *no way in hell* that thing can affect the real world to that extent, apart from plasmoids but that's unlikely.
Understood. I had one of those days.. Apologies.
Hold on a moment, it appears the mic is still on.
