Xchofica (ˈʒɑːfɪ.kʌ , ZHAH-fih-kuh , 🔊) is the RetroMC community's resident deer gal. She is not known very extensively in the community, but is notable for her haphazard schedules, frequent desire to help Wanderers, especially in regards to their builds, and her friendliness. She is a community member of Uwu, a village owned by 16.png ospence5 and maintained by many folks, including (but not limited to) 16.png SadieSadie, 16.png Niterux, 16.png 1blckhrt, and many others. Xchofica has not yet created nor led any villages of her own.

She was recently(when?) given Hero rank by Sadie. Before this, she has held the ranks of Wanderer and Citizen, respectively. As of January 2023, she has not donated to RetroMC.

Player history and minor lore

Xchofica first joined RetroMC on Fri, 25 November 2022, and created a home for herself in the following days. Having no additional members to help her in this, and only a handful of distant neighbors at best, she built up this area alone, creating in a main building, dubbed the Lodge, a mine, a tree farm, and then a tower, before later leaving this settlement to join Uwu.

Xchofica's skin. It has brown, layered, medium-length hair, light green eyes, pale skin, and a floating red nose like a certain holiday reindeer. The head has dark antlers off its sides, with small wild berries and flowers caught on them. The skin's clothes are a dark t-shirt, with light blue overalls. The overalls buttons are a pale light gold. The socks are a gray and are held up by straps. The shoes are an off-white and are slightly dirtied or worn in.

Xchofica is known for holding certain phrases close to her heart, such as:

Early settlement

The Lodge was designed to be built quickly, perched atop an area of natural land generation. "I was wading across this wide lake here, trying to find suitable land, and seen this really quite stunning archway over yonder and thought, 'You know, that looks about wide enough for a small home,' so I went up there and built the Lodge." She has since admitted regret for its design, stating "I was in a bit of a rush to get it done, thinking 'Oh, this'll be some temporary thing that I'll redesign later,' or tear it down and move somewhere else if I needed to. But because I made it so large, I felt it would've taken too much effort to do either, and I've since left it up there. I know it's not too terrible, but for me it's really an eyesore, and I keep it around as both a reminder of where I came from, and how I have to follow through with my own future projects in order to make things I can feel proud of."

Joining Uwu

Some time during September or October 2023, Xchofica asked ospence5 if she could check out the village of Uwu. Another player she had recently become friends with, 16.png TransGirlsRCute[note: you may want to check her J-Stats2 page], was also online. The two partnered together to visit Uwu, accompianed alongside Uwuians 16.png ospence5 and 16.png Niterux. The two were accepted almost immediately; after only a short tour around Uwu they were given citizenship via an invite. Xchofica ended up getting her first ban shortly after, attempting to replace the torches on a bridge in Uwu, and as a result was not able to move nor modify her Tower in Uwu for a few months. Her appeal was later accepted. After rejoining the server, she moved her Tower to the other side of Uwu, known locally as Old Uwu.

During Xchofica's time in Uwu so far, she has completed the construction of her main home, the Tower of Deer (real). There are signs in front of the building that were put up by her, and state:

Developing her own village(s)

Despite not having created any villages, she has stated that she plans on potentially creating a village of Aywell, a "haven for folks and phreaks who desire to return to the bygone eras of the Internet, but without any of the dated baggage that comes along with that." Aywell is a tongue-in-cheek reference to AOL, but she says Aywell "is in no way affiliated with the company that helped arise the Eternal September".
