I joined RetroMC on a whim in 2019. The first thing I did before even making a base was start construction on the +X highway. Eventually I decided to make a house entirely out of furnaces near spawn. Once I made it to +15k on the +X highway, I decided to start building a town centered around massive walls made from lava casting cobblestone from build height. The walls span from x 15000, z -200 to x 15401, z 200 making it a 402x402 blocks enclosed area. I named this town Southguard. I got to about 18k-20k before  Thanos_Cocc brought the +X highway to the 30k world border.

Fun Fact: Did you know the RetroMC overworld map has approximately the same square kilometers as the U.S. State of Rhode Island?

Wealth

In 2023. I became the player with the highest balance in RetroMC. This came from a combination of selling things in my shop The Giant JUUL particularly glowstone and grinding two zombie spawners which are next to each other.

Nether Highways

I have worked on all 4 main Nether highways and have completed a few of them such that they can reach the 30k overworld border from a nether portal. I would guess I have done around 70% of the main nether highways but I haven't kept track much. I also did the +X+Z diagonal highway completely.
