The RetroMC Unified Radio Association, more commonly referred to as RMCURA, is a town founded on 10 February 2025 by
Q0AL in a response to the lack of cell service on the server. The RMCURA is a major player in expanding mobile cell tower coverage over the entirety of RetroMC. RMCURA is a subdivision of the United States of E Government. The USE Government has a completely different lore that has no roots in RetroMC so this is for said lore only. The RMCURA AM/FM Station was part of KAKTI, the RMCURA’s predecessor, located in the outskirts of cactus.
The town is located at X -1370, Z 10370.
History
RMCURA was founded by
Q0AL on 10 February 2025. Originally called KAKTI, it was given its final name on 22 February 2025.
Josh sighting
Josh, the magnificent flying squid, was spotted over the RMCURA HQ at 18 EST Feb 22, 2025. Rumor has it that whenever Josh flies over a build, he "Blesses" it. Because of this sighting,
crazyfish292929 has made a temple to honor Josh in the middle of RMCURA. A chest for offerings to Josh was built in the middle of the town.
By March 2025, Josh's blessings became a reality, as RMCURA experienced rapid development and growth with several skyscrapers and large-scale construction projects all beginning construction.
Golden Age
RMCURA initially grew and expanded rapidly and quickly became one of the most active villages on the server during its short heyday in early 2025.
A growing number of suburbs were built near the city as residents complained of overcrowding due to RMCURA's rapid growth. The suburb area, built almost entirely by
FuggMan_VEVO, was inspired by the nearby town Milton.
Decline
As of 29 August 2025, RMCURA was essentially dead. Many of this was due to the owner
Q0AL's inactivity. Only a very small number of people were still active in the town and all hope of a possible revival had disappeared. The town's sudden death is common for many towns, as members lose motivation for big projects.
After
Q0AL's ban in February 2026,
Spencer199 was given control of RMCURA. Under his ownership, the village joined the NorthernEmpires nation in July 2026.
Administrative Subdivisions
RetroMC United Radio Association Tunnel Exploration Department (RMCURATED)
This is a subdivision of RMCURA dedicated to exploring and mapping the Tunnels of Madness as to gain more insight on why and who built them in the first place.
RetroMC United Radio Association Fungi Removal Specialists (RMCURAFRM)
This is a subdivision of RMCURA that specializes in removing fungi as per AMBER guidelines.
RetroMC United Radio Association Spawn Highway Department (RMCURASHD)
This is a subdivision of RMCURA that is dedicated to help maintain and expand RetroMC's spawn highways.
Goals
- Expand 2G GSM Signal over the entire of RetroMC
- To have one group that towns can talk to about cell service and other radio related subjects
