Background

Kekistan is a town on RetroMC currently owned by God Emperor  Orknarok_666. It is located in the United Imperial Provinces, or the U.I.P for short, being one of the major regions/sections of the nation. It was the largest populated town in the server, having around 270 members during when Towny was still in the server before Towny was removed in favor of JVillage, which decreased the town's population by a ton (the town currently has 27 members). despite this, the town has around 11,000 claims, making it one of the largest towns in server in terms of size. It also holds the title of the U.I.P's oldest town, as it was founded around Mid-2018 by  drogba32 and  FranF.

Early History

Kekistan was founded around Mid-2018 in the old RetroLands world by  drogba32 and  FranF (as mentioned above). At the time it was called X5TT, later being renamed to Metro City and then being renamed to Kekistan as it still is today. However, due to the RetroMC and Betalands split, the old world was changed into the world we have now, and the town was transferred to an area near the current Spawn These towns developed separately from each other and enjoyed a time of economic prosperity due to Cactus Economy (see Removed features). Corruption was rampant in the staff team at the time and players like drogba32 abused world editing permissions to help make their towns larger and more impressive. This lead to an unprecedented expansion of the towns and they quickly became the largest on the server.
