Background

Kekistan is a town on RetroMC currently owned by God Emperor  Orknarok_666. It is located in the United Imperial Provinces, or the U.I.P for short, being one of the major regions/sections of the nation. It was the largest populated town in the server, having around 270 members during when Towny was still in the server before Towny was removed in favor of JVillage, which decreased the town's population by a ton (the town currently has 27 members). despite this, the town has around 11,000 claims, making it one of the largest towns in server in terms of size. It also holds the title of the U.I.P's oldest town, as it was founded around 2017 by  drogba32 and  FranF in the BetaLands server.

History

Early beginnings

Kekistan was founded around 2017 in BetaLands by  drogba32 and  FranF (as mentioned above). At the time it was called X5TT; later on, in RetroMC, being renamed to Metro City in Late-2018 and then being renamed to Kekistan in May of 2019, as it still is today. During it's infancy, the town was small, only consisting of a few builds and members. However, things would change during 2018. due to the RetroMC and Betalands split, the town was transferred to RetroMC in an area near the Spawn. And  drogba32, being promoted to staff, was able to abuse WorldEdit so that his town would grow to be one of the largest towns in the server, and during this time a server-side economy was still in effect, meaning that  drogba32 and the members of X5TT were able to become rich very quickly, and because of this, the once small town from BetaLands was able to prosper.
