On the 19th of April 2024,
zavdav and
Pittofer discovered that the spawn point for unauthenticated players had been changed unintentionally. Instead of spawning at the RetroMC spawn, players spawned at the coordinates 10843 76 12417
, which is in the town claims of Punisher town. Additionally, the Spawn button on the Overviewer sent you to these coordinates on the world map instead of the RetroMC spawn.
At the location,
mithkal placed a sign saying: "this is where you login until the admins fix it".
zavdav then built a dirt cross with a sign saying: "this is where you spawn until admins fix it".
Word of the new RetroMC spawn quickly spread around and many people came to visit. Members of Punisher town and staff also left signs at the location.
By coincidence,
SvGaming234,
Invictissimi and
zavdav had the same name in mind when setting a home at the spawn point: "newspawn".
After the RetroMC spawn was reverted to its original location by admins,
zavdav constructed a memorial dedicated to the broken spawn point.
