Kekistan is a town on RetroMC currently owned by God Emperor  Orknarok_666. It is located in the United Imperial Provinces, or the U.I.P for short, being one of the major regions/sections of the nation. It was the largest populated town in the server, having around 270 members during when Towny was still in the server before it was removed in favor of JVillage, which decreased the town's population by a ton (the town currently has 27 members). despite this, the town has around 11,000 claims, making it one of the largest towns in server in terms of size. It also holds the title of the U.I.P's oldest town, as it was founded around 2017 by  drogba32 in the BetaLands server.

History

Early beginnings (2017 - Mid 2018)

Kekistan was founded around 2017 in BetaLands by  drogba32 (as mentioned above). At the time it was called X5TT; later on, in RetroMC, being renamed to Metro City in Late-2018 and then being renamed to Kekistan in May of 2019, as it still is today. During the time when X5TT was still in BetaLands, it was small town, only consisting of a few builds and members. However, things would change during 2018. due to the RetroMC and Betalands split, the town was transferred to RetroMC in an area near the Spawn. And  drogba32, being promoted to staff, was able to abuse WorldEdit so that his town would grow to be one of the largest towns in the server, and during this time a server based economy was still in effect, meaning that  drogba32 and the members of X5TT were able to become rich very quickly, and because of this, the once small town from BetaLands was able to prosper.

Trouble arises (Mid 2018 - Late 2018)

During the rest of 2018, X5TT was already becoming a superpower and soon started developing international relationships with other nations, superpowers, such as the USSR of RetroMC and young nations like Okeogi. However, in late-2018 (which was when X5TT was renamed to Metro City), sugar cane and cactus were removed from the admin shop, meaning that the server-based economy that helped the members of Metro City and other players of the server get rich quickly was no more, turning the server into a player-based economy. The members of Metro City such as  Gilbarto, and  Radrin13 were furious, with  drogba32 himself included, and soon began harassing the staff members, but the decision was final. Sugar cane and cactus wouldn't be readded to the admin shop again.

The Kekistan Rebellion (December 19th 2020 - December 23rd 2020)

In around December 19th, 2022,  Sewer_Spewer and  Radrin13 would get perm-banned from the server for building hate symbols on  Sewer_Spewer's castle. Both of them would become furious since they felt like the ban was unjustified, and when  drogba32,  Gilbarto, and the other so-called "droglets" heard about  Sewer_Spewer and  Radrin13's perm-ban, they all got furious as well and would start spamming inappropriate/server-rule breaking comments in the old Kekistan Discord before the Discord server itself was deleted by Discord and would later proceed to do the same on RetroMC, in which  drogba32 and the rest of his droglets would get sent to the RetroMC Jail, however, due to the limits of EBans and at the time BetaEVO. All of them would then start to constantly ban evade with cracked accounts and by joining with usernames over 16 characters (which is the MC username character limit), and because of this power, they decided to start breaking every other rule that was on the server, such as: Griefing, Hacking, Exploiting Bugs that were a problem on the server at the time, World Downloading some parts of Spawn and Kekistan, etc. And on December 23rd, 2020, they were able to (sort of) log in as  JohnyMuffin and  EternalllZM and start spamming inappropriate comments under their username; however, that would be the same day when  drogba32 and the rest of the droglets were all IP banned, and because of that, the Kekistan Rebellion had ended with the aftermath of the event resulting in  Orknarok_666 (who had helped out the staff team during the event) gaining ownership of Kekistan, the permanent closing of the RetroMC Jail, and  JohnyMuffin pushing for a new ban plugin that would be introduced in December 28th, 2020, which would be called JBans.
