Milton, formerly known as Grassy/grassy hills, is a town founded by  F14O85 and  Werthesiu. Its main location is in the Southern half of the server, crossing the Z -10000 coordinate. The town also owns numerous exclaves in different locations of the map. It is the capital of the Grassy Republican Empire.

Whilst the rules aren't stated in any location of the city, there are a set of unofficial rules already established.

History

Origin

Milton is the relocation of an inactive settlement named grassy hills, that was founded on the 22/02/2020 by  F14O85 (Previously known as MINIMASTER_9) as the President and  Werthesiu as the Vice-President. This settlement thrived for around a week until  F14O85 went inactive and never returned to the server. This only left  Werthesiu as the sole player of the nation. This didn't last long as they already went inactive some days later. On the 1st of December 2021,  Werthesiu would return to the game with the thought of moving the city, as grassy hills was far behind in infrastructure and resources, that the idea of relocating the town was better.

Founding

The current Milton at start was just an empty field of grass and sand, bordered by the beach. Its first ever construction was the Independence Fountain, which is a small fountain made from sandstone to commemorate the establishment of the modern town. Also around this time, new members such as  Anubis773 and  Xenon_ne would begin to also settle here, building more houses for future citizens

Attacks

On the 7th of December 2021, a citizen would drop lava on top of the town hall, covering it completely and desfigure it. To the town's relief, the perpetrator of the attack was banned and the building was restored to normal.

Prosperity

Milton was rapidly growing in numbers via recruitment by late 2021 and early 2022, and with that, the towns central area was running out of space. In response, a new district was created, called New Grassy. Thanks to the imensive contribution by  Xenon_ne, the town managed to build new, larger homes located south. These actions would award a new district named after them as well as becoming an assistant of the country. New roads would be created to link Milton with neighbouring town Paradisia, a nearby Gold Temple and Spawn respectively.

Diplomacy

With its influence growing, Milton also sought to establish relations with other towns in the server. The most notable relation was with SmileyTown, where an embassy was built there.

Colonial Expansion

In August of 2022, Milton, being inspired by bigger nations such as the UIP and Mojang, Milton went on a campaign of convincing other towns, mainly smaller settlements to join the empire. The first settlement to agree being part of the GRE was Helsingfors, followed by church and Awesomeness. The four towns would become part of the Grassy Republican Empire

Recession and partial revival

As the months go on, players would begin quitting the server indefinitely including  Werthesiu and  Xenon_ne. At some points in later years (2023 to 2025) some notable town figures would return to the game to then quit for months. Despite having an extremely rich history and legacy, it's also one of the poorest towns in the server.

Districts

Milton is divided in three different districts, each with their own different themes built by different players in different time periods.

Old Milton

Formerly known as Grassy Center, is the original town and where the first homes were built. Mostly every buildings were made  Werthesiu but also by many of the citizens joining at the time in order to build and decorate their homes.

Xenon

This district features every of the houses  Xenon_ne built on her time in the town. This district was separated from Old Milton since its style was far different than its neighbour. More than half of players reside in this district.

New Grassy

The second district to be created, it is where most of the planned infrastructure are located at, including the still in progress Grassy Parliament. This district is where every future development shall be located at.

Notable Buildings

The infrastructure in Milton is extremely varied in styles build by different players. Most of the towns roads are made with 3-block wide gravel, the only exception being the New Grassy district which is built with 4-block wide cobblestone. There is also an unfinished Metro Line in town.

National Roads

The National Roads are roads which lead out from the GRE to other towns or other specific venues. This sub-section only highlights National Roads that come out from Milton

• N1 - Also known as Milton-Paradisia highway, is the shortest complete road available. It was also the first road ever built in Milton. It starts off after a house where it leads all the way to a port and a bridge to Paradisia. For 2 years the only way getting to Paradisia was by boat, until a bridge was built to facilitate mobilisation.
• N2 - Also known as Gold Temple highway, is the second road built for Milton. It branches out of N1 and it leads all the way to a Gold Temple whose creator is still unknown.
• N3 - Also known as Spawn Highway is the longest road by far in all of the GRE. This road passes through the settlements of NoIdeas, 12333 and SnowHeadVillage where it eventually ends in another highway which goes to Spawn. Unnoficially, without the countries consent, half of the road is used as a railway to connect to other cities.
• N5 - Also known as Aussig Highway, is an unfinished road which aims to have its destination being Aussig. It has been partially built and currently it concludes in Wicherki.

Notable Buildings

The Town Hall

A skyscraper inspired by the real life building Burj Al Arab. Located in Old Milton, it is where the towns affairs are handled. Inside is the reception which includes the news of all of Milton and GRE. The 2nd floor is the assembly room where citizens gather to discuss plans for the town. The 3rd floor are where the offices of assistants  Anubis773 and  Xenon_ne are located, and the final floor is  Werthesiu's office.

This building is the only skyscraper in all of Grassy.

Water Park

The only leisure site in all of Milton. Located in Xenon, it features 2 small slides and a 1 large circular slide made out of snow. This waterpark was the first ever building made in Xenon (When it was still part of Old Milton).

Star Gate

A Star Gate which connects every GRE town to each other (The exception being church)

Public Farm

Located in Old Milton, this is the only public area in all of Milton, where any citizen is free to harvest and plant wheat, to then use it for personal reasons

Dinis Tunnel

The tunnel which connects Old Milton to New Grassy, it is named after  Werthesiu's real life friend  Didi_7

Island of Independence

An island featuring a giant flagpole with the flag of the Republic of Grassy.

Anubis Fountain

A fountain named after assistant  Anubis773, it is located in New Grassy. Apparently, it served as inspiration for a fountain built in isometrycality.

Milton McDonalds

A McDonalds located in New Grassy, it is an exact replica of the McDonalds built in Mojank. Its available stock is bread and pork.

Republic of Grassy Parliament

The Parliament of the GRE, it is still under construction, but once finished it shall serve as the meeting ground to every citizen of the GRE.

Milton Railway Station

The train station of Milton, its tracks are unfinished and so is the rest of the terminal. Once finished it shall feature lines which shall follow N2, N3 and N5.

Crime

Crime is non-existent, as there are barely any citizens of Milton who join the game. However it was a major issue in the towns first month of existence, experiencing two major attacks of griefing.
