BACKGROUND
Squid Peaks is a town that was created and is owned by
Shampooboots. It was established as a town on April 17, 2024, although its history dates back nearly eight months prior. The village is located on a mountaintop, extending to the shore below. The name is inspired by Squidward Q. Tentacles from hit TV series SpongeBob SquarePants, and is worshipped as a god.
TERRITORIAL DISINTEGRATION
In mid-November, 2024, Villager263 graciously accepted the invitation for SquidPeaks citizenship. A veteran of SquidPeaks, whose name remains obscured to history, instructed Villager263 to build along the outskirts of the town. However, after constructing his base, Villager263 realised that the area in which he was instructed to build was not protected under SquidPeak's claimed territory. Villager263 thus argued that the SquidPeaks state had violated the Social Contract as espoused by John Locke in "Two Treatises of Government," a foundational theory for modern Western political theory and governmental institutions. Since SquidPeaks had failed to protect and uphold the rights of its Northern Citizens, according to John Locke, the state had forgone its legitimacy and right to govern.
On this basis, Villager263 declared independence from Squid Peaks on November 19th, 2024, and established the independent town of North Squid Peaks. With no opposition, Villager263 was free to declare himself Caesar. A demilitarised zone was quickly erected to define the borders of the two sovereign nations.
RISE OF NORTH SQUID PEAKS
Immediately following Independence, North Squid Peaks went on to form a colonial empire. North Squid Peaks has a particularly close relationship with the town of Valencia and their King, e_g_g.
