Punisher Town is a settlement founded by  punishergames on March 16, 2024, on the RetroMC Minecraft server.

History

Initial Development

Shortly after its establishment, the town welcomed its first member,  SomeBMWdriver, who constructed the first base. Early growth accelerated with the joining of key contributor  Krispy453, who significantly shaped village infrastructure. His projects were later enhanced by  Grassboii. Other early members included  flemwaddle,  mozzysdong,  ospence5, and  raikonenn. Both  ospence5 and  raikonenn were temporarily banned due to rule violations (x-ray and griefing);  ospence5 has since been reinstated.

A significant disruption occurred with the banning of  Krispy453, who vandalized the village and posted inappropriate signage. Subsequently,  Grassboii took over the assistant role and initiated major renovations, including improvements to the castle and agricultural facilities.

Internal Conflicts

Multiple internal conflicts impacted the community:

• The Trans Flags Vote: A vote occurred regarding the display of transgender pride flags within village limits, resulting in approval with a 3-2 vote.

• Incident involving

 Waddleboney: Formerly a trusted community member,  Waddleboney was expelled after committing griefing acts, resulting in a temporary server-wide ban.

• Removal of

 RitzKid76:  RitzKid76 faced expulsion for advocating punitive measures against the town founder.

• Incident involving

 flemwaddle: After threats of destruction toward a major village monument,  flemwaddle was removed from the village.

• Leadership Transition: Following these incidents,

 punishergames withdrew from daily management, assuming an advisory capacity.

• Conflict with

 SvGaming234 and  Krissofer: A dispute involving  SvGaming234 led to severed relations with him and subsequently with  Krissofer and his village Avalon.

• Reinstatement of

 punishergames: After a brief hiatus,  punishergames returned as the active leader, appointing  PartiallyCrafty as assistant.

Notable Structures

The Cross Monument

Initially erected by  flemwaddle and  Krispy453, this 16:1 scale cross included contributions from  Amyv1,  marioboyrc, and  AYoungJew69.

Sky Island

Previously a controversial sculpture existed atop the wheat farm, replaced following administrative intervention by former admin  thecow275.

New Spawn Building

On April 30, 2024, a new spawn facility was introduced, featuring an updated welcome board and basement displaying banned community members.

Door Locking Vote

A village referendum determined policies regarding locked doors for private residences. Initially tied at 4-4, the vote ended 5-3 after  flemwaddle reversed his stance, allowing door locking practices to continue.

Memorial Controversy

 piilvi constructed a controversial memorial for banned member  ospence5; as a result,  piilvi was expelled from the community.

Punisher-Beetopia Railway

A railway connecting Punisher Town to its ally, Beetopia (led by  jcheese7), was constructed collaboratively by  punishergames,  SvGaming234,  flemwaddle, and  jodie_x33, with railway infrastructure provided by  mithkal and  Amyv1.

Dirtocean Land Expansion

Inspired by similar server projects, the Dirtocean initiative expanded available building land by covering an oceanic area with dirt. Led by  punishergames and supported by  SvGaming234, the project eventually housed a town hall (built by  punishergames) and additional pixel-art structures (created by  partiallycrafty).

Cultural Impact

Iconic Screenshot and Emblem

A screenshot capturing prominent community members, including  marioboyrc, marked the village's recognition within RetroMC history. Concurrently, a pixel-art depiction of the Punisher skull became an official emblem of the town.

Spawn Glitch Incident

Due to a temporary server glitch (coordinates X:10843, Z:12417), Punisher Town briefly served as the official spawn point for new players. This incident, documented extensively in The Broken RetroMC Spawn, significantly increased the village's visibility on the server.

Political Activity

First Mayoral Election

The inaugural mayoral election concluded with  Grassboii winning against  flemwaddle by a 3-1 margin.

Second Mayoral Election

A subsequent election resulted in  SvGaming234 defeating incumbent  Grassboii decisively by 5-1, thus becoming mayor.
