Below is a chronological timeline capturing the significant milestones, achievements, and key events in the history of RetroMC and BetaLands from their creation to the present day.
2014
- 18 June 2014 - RetroMC is originally created by SpaceWolfE (SuperSheriff).
2016
- 9 September 2016 - RetroMC is shut down unexpectedly. Communication attempts with the old owner went unanswered.
2017
- Early 2017 - RetroMC is restarted by JohnyMuffin and advertised in the former Oak Glen (Previous RetroMC Town) Discord.
- November 2017 - RetroMC is publically advertised on Planet Minecraft and the Minecraft Forums.
2018
- 13 April 2018 - BetaLands owned by Sweetz and RetroMC merge forming RetroLands.
- 3 June 2018 - RetroMC and BetaLands split due to differing opinions of Sweetz and Johny.
2019
- 8 December 2019 - RetroMC acquires BetaLands.
2022
- 25 December 2022 - JVillage is rolled out as a replacement to Towny.
2023
- 7 July 2023 - BetaLands shutdown is announced
- 1 September 2023 - BetaLands is scheduled for shutdown
2024
- 18 June 2024 - RetroMC will celebrate being 10 years old
