Nebuley has known many segmentations and divisions throughout its existence, but until June 2024 these were all unofficial and non-standardized. When the second major rewriting of the wiki article began, {{user|ZEROCONDA}} created the first segmentation of the city. In late August 2024, {{user|samcraft3}} expanded and modified {{user|ZEROCONDA}}'s version. Nebuley is now divided into regions, and each region is divided into districts. The regions of Nebuley are:

==== The Utiopia-Nebuley border incident ====
On the 29th of June 2024, at around 09:00 UTC, {{user|samcraft3}} invited a very new player named {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} to join Nebuley. Not wanting him to build next to Mathaliah as this would severely halt expansion, he proposed many areas in which {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} would be allowed to build, which he refused. At this moment, {{user|samcraft3}} would make the fatal mistake of not insisting on {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} to build elsewhere, thinking instead that he would intuitively choose a better location instead of an sandy hill. {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} built his first home there arguing that, since it was still not claimed by Nebuley (Wilderness), he was free to build there outside of any jurisdiction and regulations. He also proceeded to help {{user|samcraft3}} in the construction of his skyscraper, while he was offline and without him asking him to do so.<br>
When {{user|samcraft3}} got back online, he was surprised to see his tower with a few more blocks of glass and what appeared to be vandalism using dirt and sand blocks placed all over the place. After making these remarks, {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} proceeded to destroy ALL of the glass that was placed in the skyscraper, including the one that {{user|samcraft3}} placed. After this move, he would be kicked out of the town. However, his house was still in a very strategic location next to Mathaliah and was not following the regulations imposed by {{user|samcraft3}} on this district.

Between the 30th of June and the 1st of July 2024, {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} managed to build a small cobblestone wall around the borders of Nebuley next to Mathaliah. {{user|samcraft3}} saw this as a threat to his expansion plans and (after the moderators' approval) proceeded to destroy the entire wall, place its content inside a chest and place an eviction notice in front of {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}}'s house, inviting him to leave the area or a ticket would be created. {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} refused this notice and even went as far as to create a whole new town that encompasses his base, called ''Utiopia''.<br>
This move would prove to be highly illegal, breaking '''In-Game Rule No. 3''' of the server, stating:
[[File:Samcraft3 skyscraper mathaliah view top.png|thumb|alt=samcraft3 skyscraper mathaliah view evil|Is {{user|samcraft3}} evil? This looks like a children's movie script.]]

Do not claim close to another town.<br>
→ Keep your town far enough away from other player's towns to prevent claim issues.<br>
→ The only exception to this rule if the other town(s) agrees to it.
</div>
<br>
{{user|samcraft3}} created a ticket, after which {{user-nonwiki|Atalaydavud}} admitted to being underage while still trying to defend his actions. His final words before being banned were <code>I be back bye</code>.
==== The RainyTown-Nebuley border treaty ====
After the establishment of RainyTown (now [[RainyCity]]) in late July 2024 and the rapid expansion of the town, {{user|samcraft3}} proposed the signature of a border treaty to organize expansion and to avoid pointless (↑) conflicts. It was succesfully signed and delimited the border between the two towns. A large highway was built to connect the two cities, and a border wall was also proposed as part of the entire border infrastructure, but remains to this day unbuilt. The entire process was recorded and [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MeY0MOheQc uploaded on YouTube].

=== Dwarven rule ===

Over a thousand years ago, the lands people call Nebuley nowadays weren't inhabited by the '''Ancient Builders''' or their descendants on that matter. Local Dwarven clans ruled the realm - fighting countless civil wars and mastering the art of ore smelting and smithcraft. Current armor, tool and weapon look has originated from the greatest minds of Dwarven blacksmiths. Deep caverns rich in valuable resources and stone provided a safe place for Dwarves. His Majesty, '''Burgamli the First''', whom was graced with royal blood and soon after claiming the throne he formed the '''Stone Council''' consisting of the High King, Dwarven Princes and Paragons to ensure efficient and smooth workflow. However little did he know that his rule would soon come to an end.

Dwarves were never fond of Ancient Builders claiming that their weakness and strong belief in magic and sorcercy were off-putting. Burgamli the First was the one who was proven right in the end. Due to unknown circumstances  a curse spread among the land turing humans into wicked versions of themselves, yearning for flesh and death. Even hardworking Dwarves were unable to resist it. Soon, clan after clan fell as their memebers turned into the undead, and fortress after fortress fell to their knees. The High King had no choice, but to move underground and create metropolies carved in the stone where no harm would come to them. Unfortunately, Burgamil fell terribly ill and soon enough he was on his way to join the rest of the monsters roaming on the surface. Thus he decided to be locked away, where he could meet his final days in solitude.

==== The Battle of Obsidian Keep ====
On of the deadliest battles of ancient ages between Clan of the Stone Pickaxe (lead by the High King Burgamli) and Clan of the Deep (lead by general Nemith Hornbrewer). Burgamil's troops outnumbered Nemith's garrison of 30 men. In order for the king to claim large vein of diamonds he had to get past the Obsidian Keep - small fort build entirely out of obsidian, little did he know that he and his 150 men would suffer a terrible casualties. Members of the Clan of the Deep quickly turned the tide of the battle as dozens of enemy troops rushed at the gates and walls with weapons and ladders. Defenders used lava buckets and TNT to slow down the attack. Unable to force his entrance, Burgamli decided that they should mine their way in, no matter the cost. This turned out to be a fatal decision, garrison troops quickly found out about the plan and set gravel traps for the upcomiNG army. In the end remaining troops were burried under the gravel and the High King was forced to retreat claiming one of the worst defeats in Dwarven history.

Nebuley is a village founded on the 13th of July 2023 by player 16.png Ingrate. It has known a noticeable growth during the month of July 2023, and is continuing to expand. The village is located at coordinates X:13500 and Z:10500, in between snowy forests. It saw a resurgence in activity beginning from June 2024.

General Policies and Regulations

nebuley_flag
Official Flag of Nebuley (since 2024)

Official Flag of Nebuley

Flag of Nebuley is a symbol of professionalism, unity and stability. Blue background refers to endless skies stretching above Nebuley, dark blue stripes surrounding the middle represent the dream of spreading our lands far and away. Above and below the emblem there are two Latin quotes which stand as principles for the people of Nebuley:

  • Dum spiro spero - "As long as I breathe, I have hope."
  • Salus populi suprema lex esto - "The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law."

The emblem in the middle consists of white circular shape meaning the purity of intentions, blue laurel made of stars is a sign of integrity and distant dreams. In the very core of the flag there is letter "N" with wings attached to it refering to freedom and ability to reach the greatest heights.

New Members

Anyone is free to join Nebuley. The official procedure to join the village is to message a Nebuley assistant asking to join the city. New players in the server are promised a free bed (free bed policy) to help them during their first days.

Building Rules

General Building Regulations

To create an aesthetically cohesive and organized town, 16.png Ingrate created a set of 4 rules to regulate construction in Nebuley:

  1. No floating trees are allowed, and members of the town are obligated to fully cut them.
  2. Replanting trees after cutting them is measure taken to counteract internal deforestation.
  3. Paths must follow the same standardized template as seen in most parts of the city.
  4. Buildings must be evenly spaced.

Building Style

There is no unique and defined building style in Nebuley. In the old part of the town, most buildings are constructed using rudimentary materials such as wood and cobblestone. Floating graffiti (pixel art) can be seen in some parts of the city, mainly Little Hill. However, new Nebuley district, such as Villager's Hollow and Mathaliah, were made to accommodate modern-style buildings.

Districts

nebuley district map
The official Nebuleyian district layout as of late August 2024

Nebuley has known many segmentations and divisions throughout its existence, but until June 2024 these were all unofficial and non-standardized. When the second major rewriting of the wiki article began, 16.png ZEROCONDA created the first segmentation of the city. In late August 2024, 16.png samcraft3 expanded and modified 16.png ZEROCONDA's version. Nebuley is now divided into regions, and each region is divided into districts. The regions of Nebuley are:

  • Old Nebuley, also known as The City Center. It encompasses the entire old town, and the snowy hills.
  • Little Lake, encompassing most residential buildings located behind the Block Museum and beside the old town.
  • The Modern Region, a new and modern part or the city still under construction. It covers the sandstone canal, ZEROCONDA's Villagers' Hollow, the Museum of the Future and the SamTower™.
  • The Mathalian Region, encompassing a part of the city still under construction named Mathalia (from the arabic word مثالية meaning examplary).

Notable landmarks and sites

The Block museum

The Block Museum is a three-floor building containing all the blocks existent in Beta 1.7.3 Minecraft. Blocks unobtainable in survival, such as bedrock, and many raw ores, are still being sought after by members of the village.

The Town Hall

The Town Hall is a refreshed and improved version of the former wooden town hall. Walls are made of the brick and inside is a lot more spacious with a lovely sight at Finlay's Bridges and the lake underneath it.

Josh's Temple

Temple made with dedication to honor our server's interdimensional flying squid - Josh. Some Nebuleyians tried to steal its liver, only to be banned from the server.

Ingrate's Statue

The statue of 16.png Ingrate, the founder of the city, is built out of wool on a cobblestone pyramid. Unfortunately, the build-height limit was hit, and the head had to be built inside of the pyramid.

ZEROCONDA's Miners' Guild

The Miners' Guild is a castle built by 16.png ZEROCONDA, dedicated to the ore miners of the city.

Finlay's Bridges

Finlay's bridges is a complex structure composed of four towers linked together with many bridges. It seems that construction has been abandoned since August 2023.

samcraft3’s Sandstone Canal

The Sandstone Canal is a small residential area built surrounding an man-made sandstone canal, made by 16.png samcraft3. Construction began in late July 2023. It is still being worked on and expanded, although this (already slow) expansion is halted by the presence of a hill and an ice ocean.

PLFilkomPL's lighthouse

PLFilkomPL's lighthouse consists of a unique tower made out of red and white wool next to what used to be a lake before being filled up with sand in late July 2023.

Grossstadkind's Castle

Grossstadkind's Castle is one of the oldest builds in the city. It is a small cobblestone castle built on the outskirts of the city, next to a large decorative wheat farm.

The old Town Hall

The old town hall is small wooden building when people can meet to discuss important subjects about the city. It is advantageously located to the public board where people can share their important news through the use of signs. It served as the town hall for a month until 16.png ZEROCONDA built a much more modern and bigger one in late August 2023.

Charity Hut

Charity Hut was built by 16.png ZEROCONDA to accomodate the needs of local community. Members of the town can place their orders (for blocks, items, etc.) and those will be collected and gifted free of charge.

A.M.B.E.R. Headquarters

A.M.B.E.R. (Anti-Mushroom Bureau of Environmental Restoration) - an agency focused around returning the balance in nature by stopping rapid spread of parasitic mushrooms in the unhabited environment. Locating and destroying the very core of infestation allows the agency to prevent further possibilities of uncontrolled expansion. A.M.B.E.R. can't remove any manmade mushroom farms which are protected by server's law and SBRD (Steve Builder Rights Document). Current chairman: 16.png ZEROCONDA.

PLFilkomPL's Dog's Grave

Located in the Old City (or City Center), it was built to honor 16.png PLFilkomPL's dog, long dead.

The OG Hole

The OG Hole, or OG Base is an "old school"-style base built in a cave next to the ocean.

Infrastructure

Lapis Harbor

The Lapis Harbor is the only harbor of the city, built next to 16.png ZEROCONDA's base. It has been built in an old medieval style. A new commercial area has been built next to it by 16.png ZEROCONDA.

Nebulink Railway

Nebulink Railway is the main (and only) railway company in Nebuley, also referred to as the "metro system". As of August 2024, the Nebuley rail system is divded into three branches:

  1. Nebulink (Main Line) - railway line going mostly through the Old Nebuley districts.
  2. Little Hill Branch Line (LHBL) - branch line which is an extension of Nebulink to connect outskirts of the town to the main railway.
  3. Outland Branch Line (OLBL) - separate branch line which isn't directly connected to Nebulink (yet), it serves as a quick travel option between Villager's Hollow, the Museum of the Future and Mathaliah.
  4. Mathalian Roads (MR) - large double-lane roads still under construction which will form the backbone of the Mathlian transportation system.

Nebulink Overpass

The Nebulink Overpass is a cobblestone bridge linking 16.png ZEROCONDA's charcoal company (via the Block Museum station) to a terminal next to 16.png samcraft3's underground railway (leading to his bunker) and the Sandstone Canal.

ZEROCONDA's Charcoal Company

16.png ZEROCONDA's charcoal company is a medium-sized tree farm dedicated to farming charcoal. It is located next to the Lapis Harbor and the Miners' Guild. It is used by many members of the town. Much of the charcoal acquired goes into the Communal Charcoal Chest next to the old Town Hall, providing members of the city with a free and consistent source of fuel.

Diplomacy

Unions

Nebuley is in an union with Ouria. It has also established an official embassy in the town of Toastwood. The town is generally integrating with the rest of the server.

Outposts and embassies

Outposts serve as small symbolic buildings in other towns Nebuley uses to affirm its presence on the server. As of June 2024, Nebuley has 4 outposts:

History and Treaties

The Utiopia-Nebuley border incident

On the 29th of June 2024, at around 09:00 UTC, 16.png samcraft3 invited a very new player named 16.png Atalaydavud to join Nebuley. Not wanting him to build next to Mathaliah as this would severely halt expansion, he proposed many areas in which 16.png Atalaydavud would be allowed to build, which he refused. At this moment, 16.png samcraft3 would make the fatal mistake of not insisting on 16.png Atalaydavud to build elsewhere, thinking instead that he would intuitively choose a better location instead of an sandy hill. 16.png Atalaydavud built his first home there arguing that, since it was still not claimed by Nebuley (Wilderness), he was free to build there outside of any jurisdiction and regulations. He also proceeded to help 16.png samcraft3 in the construction of his skyscraper, while he was offline and without him asking him to do so.
When 16.png samcraft3 got back online, he was surprised to see his tower with a few more blocks of glass and what appeared to be vandalism using dirt and sand blocks placed all over the place. After making these remarks, 16.png Atalaydavud proceeded to destroy ALL of the glass that was placed in the skyscraper, including the one that 16.png samcraft3 placed. After this move, he would be kicked out of the town. However, his house was still in a very strategic location next to Mathaliah and was not following the regulations imposed by 16.png samcraft3 on this district.

Between the 30th of June and the 1st of July 2024, 16.png Atalaydavud managed to build a small cobblestone wall around the borders of Nebuley next to Mathaliah. 16.png samcraft3 saw this as a threat to his expansion plans and (after the moderators' approval) proceeded to destroy the entire wall, place its content inside a chest and place an eviction notice in front of 16.png Atalaydavud's house, inviting him to leave the area or a ticket would be created. 16.png Atalaydavud refused this notice and even went as far as to create a whole new town that encompasses his base, called Utiopia.
This move would prove to be highly illegal, breaking In-Game Rule No. 3 of the server, stating:

samcraft3 skyscraper mathaliah view evil
Is 16.png samcraft3 evil? This looks like a children's movie script.

Do not claim close to another town.
→ Keep your town far enough away from other player's towns to prevent claim issues.
→ The only exception to this rule if the other town(s) agrees to it.

16.png samcraft3 created a ticket, after which 16.png Atalaydavud admitted to being underage while still trying to defend his actions. His final words before being banned were I be back bye.

The RainyTown-Nebuley border treaty

After the establishment of RainyTown (now RainyCity) in late July 2024 and the rapid expansion of the town, 16.png samcraft3 proposed the signature of a border treaty to organize expansion and to avoid pointless (↑) conflicts. It was succesfully signed and delimited the border between the two towns. A large highway was built to connect the two cities, and a border wall was also proposed as part of the entire border infrastructure, but remains to this day unbuilt. The entire process was recorded and uploaded on YouTube.

Social Media

Starting from June 2024, a YouTube channel was created by the Nebuleyian Bureau of Information as a way to attract potential new talented members. The first video to be uploaded on the channel was the city's trailer. The city's channel is managed by 16.png samcraft3.

Lore

This is the accepted lore for Nebuley and the nearby lands as written by 16.png ZEROCONDA. New discoveries might emerge in the future.

Dwarven rule

2000 BSS - 1500 BSS

Over two thousand years ago, the lands people call Nebuley nowadays weren't inhabited by the Ancient Builders or their descendants on that matter. His Majesty, Burgamli the First, whom was graced with royal blood and soon after claiming the throne he formed the Stone Council consisting of the High King, Dwarven Princes and Paragons to ensure efficient and smooth workflow. However little did he know that his rule would soon come to an end.

Ancient Curse

1500 BSS - 1300 BSS

Not long after his son - Khurnim - took the name Burgamli the Second and claimed the rule over his clan.

Life under the surface

1300 BSS - 1000 BSS

Dwarves quickly addapted to a new enivroment and quality of life. They learned how to grow crops underground and breed animals that saved, even how to brew some beer. Burgamli the Second was a ruthless rule, he didn't tolerate weakness thus he ruled with iron fist. It didn't take long until different clans stumbled upon each other during numerous excavations. This of course lead to many conflicts and minor battles. One of those was the battle of Obsidian Keep which took place 1015 years BSS (Before Server Start).

The Battle of Obsidian Keep

Tale of the Wicked King

ent_dwarven
Excavated entrance to collapsed Dwarven City
1000 BSS - 800 BSS

When Burgamli the Third took over the throne, he had to deal with new problems. Ancient Curse planted it's seeds underground and mob infestation began spreading at worrying pace. Undoubtedly, the High King was a brilliant strategist, but men couldn't defend themselves forever, especially when underground clans were suffering the same fate as their counterparts from the surface. He ordered his most trustworthy and inteliigent scholars to discover a way to fight off the invaders. After months of hard work, Dwarves presented the first ever Iron Golem to the king. Strong and loyal, being powered by magical energy was enough to convince His Majesty that this is the right choice. However loyalists with Paragons and Princes among them, who despised magic formed a secret alliance that was supposed to threaten the rule of Burgamli the Third. Constant sabotages and assasination attempts quickly drove their king mad. He began to see treason everywhere. In 843 BSS he ordered to build Zana Baor (dwar. Stone City) which was meant to accommodate his family and most trusted allies.

His madness progressed as began to create ridiculous rules and regulations. Soon, the family and his friends slowly began turning away from him, as he fell more and more into his sorrow and craziness. About 809 year BSS he disappeared into the caverns and never returned. Without the king Dwarves became divided once again, fighting for the throne. Eventually leading their kind to extinction.

Aftermath of Dwarven Fall

800 BSS - 9 PSS

Empty cities quickly were taken over by the infected monsters and as the time progressed many of these metropolies collapsed burying their story deep under the stone. Ages passed by and so did the memory of Dwarven clans. In 9 PSS (Post-Server Start) first descendants began to settle down in the area of Nebuley. Building majestic builds and expanding their territory soon they began finding single clues of the ancient history. This lead to the arrival of Dwarven clans from another continent to seek hidden knowledge and prevent their heritage from fading.

Pending Projects

ℹ️ Notice: This part is subject to rapid change and updates

Many projects are envisioned by members of the city. Some are already under construction while others seem to be abandoned. They include:

  • The Intercity Highways - Railways that would connect Nebuley to other cities to disenclave it and connect the town to the rest of the server. One proposed way to do that would be through the Beetopia Highway started by Ingrate, being the closest and largest city next to Nebuley.
  • Beetopia Monorail/Highway - A road and railtrack that would link Nebuley to Beetopia.
