Plane Party

On 15 May 2026, a spontaneous social gathering of numerous players took place in RetroMC's SpawnTown. Because it was located on a small wooden airplane, the event later become known as the Plane Party.

Background

As of early 2026, the player count on RetroMC was usually around 10 and rarely up to 20 online at a time. Any time the player count surpasses 20 players is thus noteworthy and online players typically comment on the unusually high player count.

The Plane Party

On 15 May 2026, one such instances of the player count exceeding 20 occured. However, instead of quickly returning to normal levels, as would typically be the case, the count keep rising and eventually peaked at 32 players. Several of the online players took this opportunity to gather multiple players in one location to celebrate the unusually high level of activity on the server.
