The USSR of RetroMC was a town on RetroMC founded by 16.png Khenguin. It was active in the latter half of 2018. It was often considered to be a superpower alongside Kekistan, once having it's own large nation, the "Soviet Union of RetroLands". The claims of the town were originally located on a different world map. It was one of the several towns that server administration pasted onto the current world map, at X=-2451 and Z=-2620

Nowadays, the town is inactive and all its claims have been invalidated. Its core territory has been claimed by JuicyLucyTown, a town neighboring it.

Urban Structure

ℹ️ Notice: This section covers only the buildings in the core town; outposts are excluded

The town is currently located in a snowy spruce forest biome. It is unknown whether it was originally built in a snowy biome or not[it should be known!], but frozen water fountains may indicate that it would've originally been founded in a warmer biome before being pasted on the current world map. It is fortified by a large brick wall located on the south side of the town.

Residential blocks

The USSR's members resided in apartments blocks (built to resemble real-life ones). Only two apartments blocks appear to have been built in the core town:

  • Snow Hills Housing 1: A relatively primitive 4-stories high apartment complex built using cobblestone, stone and wood planks. Internal layout appears to be relatively dense, as many[how many?] players appear to have resided there.
  • Bloc A-1 and Bloc A-2: These residential blocks (written in-situ as Bloc without k) have a much more elaborate design, using stone slabs, sandstone, and including decoration elements like ventilation and detailed roofs. Bloc A-2 was never finished and lacks a few walls and windows on the ground and top floors. These blocks also appear to have been much less populated than the Snow Hills Housing 1, as no signs can confirm permanent residency of a player in any of the apartments built there, which may indicate that it was built after Snow Hills Housing 1.

International Relations

The USSR of RetroMC was considered a highly influential town during its time. It worked closely with superpowers like Kekistan and young nations like old Okeogi. This included an attempted trade route between the USSR and Okeogi that failed after it was discovered that the USSR was, in fact, in a different town.
