Background

The Imperial Coalition features a variety of in-game religions and real-world religion. Many builds have a clear religious inspiration.

Christianity

A Christian church is a staple in many Imperial Coalition towns. Finished on March 3rd, 2019, Oakwood Church in Okeogi is the oldest church in the empire. Edago boasts the largest of these, constructed primarily by famed builder administrator 16.png Orknarok_666 in March 2021.

Notchism

Notchism was an in-game religion that spread throughout old Okeogi in early 2019 by 16.png steve02, it's founder. He constructed many Notch totems throughout the islands. Uneasy residents were not very receptive to 16.png steve02's actions. To satisfy the public, Governor marioboyrc granted 16.png steve02 permission to spearhead the development of his own subdivision of Okeogi in what would eventually become Edago. There, he could freely embrace Notchism. Eventually, Notchism was banned altogether by the Okeogian council. 16.png steve02 refused to honor the ban and was banished to a cold tundra. In 2021, a non-binding public opinion poll of residents of the Imperial Coalition supported the idea of overturning the ban. However, no action has been taken and Notchism remains illegal in the Greater Okeogi area. The Notch Temple and Notch Construct in Edago remain popular landmarks in Edago.

Monolithism

Founded by 16.png mandimanden in 2021, Monolithism is focused on the worship and praise of what is referred to as the "Holy Monolith" located in Kekistan. 16.png mandimanden was able to spread his message across the world (including the Imperial Coalition). He gained a cult of followers who would help him spread the Monolith. 16.png mandimanden himself was the subject of a dog-killing scandal that saw him banned, and Monolithism died alongside his ban. His ban has since been overturned but Monolithism remains largely dead within the empire.
