Quick History

A little history first. I joined RetroMC sometime in March 2020 on a previous now inactive account of mine. I was active on said account up until late 2022 after which I had switched to my current account under the name of MorningSteph. I started playing on RetroMC again in early 2024 and I did very little besides keeping to myself and working on small projects.

In late 2024 I began to branch out and interact with the community more eventually leading me to join a handful of towns and work on some small builds in them. In january 2025 I began constructing my Palace in my village which lead to me becoming incredibly active and eventually apply for and becoming a member of staff. However I made some very awful mistakes, let everybody down and rightfully lost that position and I am probably not going to return to RetroMC anytime soon so if anybody wishes to takeover ownership of my village feel free to shoot me a message

"Palace Stor Kæstillion"

"Palace Stor Kæstillion" as of April 15th 2025 (Note structure is to large to be easily pictured in-game)

"PSK" as I'll abrivate it as is by far without question my largest project on RetroMC by footrprint at least. It is a colossal 100+ block area large structure that acts as the overkill centerpiece of the village Kæstilliopolis. It was designed by me on a creative test world in January 2025.

Construction And Terraforming. PSK was partially designed on a creative testing world before any blocks were placed on RMC. Before its construction could even start some major terraforming had to take place

The early process of the terraforming is humourously doccumented as "The Big Boom" which was an event which involved over a double chests worth of tnt being detonated in Kæstilliopolis with the goal of completly destroying the entire mountain range pictured above and flattening the marked area to Y65. Many other players were involved with the terraforming which were.  Q0AL,  E36Marshall,  Spencer199,  ArbiterGaming,  rsiva and  SevenBrokenVases. During and after the terraforming was finished some people had donated a significant amount of resources to the project  E36Marshall(Signicifcant terraforming supplies)  DogPool_(seven plus double chests of sandstone & twenty plus stacks of lapis blocks) I sadly don't remember what other players had donated.

After PSKs exterior was finished I took a break from the project to work on "Mezzanine Tower" However after that was finished I slowely started working on the roof which is intended to be nearly entirely made from lapis blocks however this is unlikely to ever happen now.

This palace has been without question some of the most fun I've had in Minecraft and I made a lot of friends in the process and its what got me deep into RetroMC. I really hope to return to it eventually however it will be some time. Little Extra. PSKs construction has been so long in the making that it will likely get its own dedicated page in the future.

"Mezzanine Tower"

"Mezzanine Tower" As of April 2025

"Mezzanine Tower" Is one of if not the largest skyscrapers on all RetroMC in pure blockcount and volume. The building itself is located in DogTown It was designed and constructed entirely by myself alone with little help outside of wool donations from  DogPool_

Before the tower was designed it was intended to be a lakehouse and or resort building near the town center. I owed  DogPool_ Some kind of build in Dogtown for the sandstone he had donated me however I had felt obligated to do a lot more than just a lakehouse so I designed a massive seven story modern skyscraper. Mezzanine Tower features seven floors with fully designed interiors, with three functional elevators however two of which are fairly useless I had plans to extend the secondary elevators higher however that impacted the shape of the structure more than I would've liked. Construction And Terraforming.

Little terraforming was done before its construction besides a hollow cobblestone foundation and some light digging. I personally view Mezzanine Tower as much less impressive than PSK as it was entirely built while I had access to staff powers such as flight and fast building. However a while after the tower was completed I returned to it and completly terraformed the area and created some poorly-made paths leading to it alongside a stargate leading to my village and a basic fountain, as previously the tower was just sitting in a sand pit.

Unlike PSK I had no help in its construction outside of material donations. construction began on Febuary 12th 2025 and was finished in only 16 days thanks to better planing, grinding and access to staff powers. As of writing it holds its record as the largest skyscraper RetroMC however I strongly encourage people to best it because that would be awesome.

Mezzanine Tower so far has been the most "tedious" project I have worked on on the server. It is made of mainly snow, various wool colours and glass all of which are fairly annoying blocks to gather in large amounts. I spent hours at the creeper farm grinding up money to buy out the majority of the snow that was still in stock at warehouse and the mall. I thankfully recived some large donations of nearly all the wool I needed from  DogPool_ however I did end up running out after I had finished the 6th floor and construction began to slow down a lot.

Mezzanine Tower is seven stories tall each of which are six blocks tall (I think) the bottom six floors are made up of currently mostly unclaimed "office" rooms however the intention is for DogTown members to claim a room and do whatever they feel like with it. Rooms of course are free to all members of Dogtown to claim however I would like it if people ask either Me or DogPool_ before doing so but it isn't that big of a deal. The only exception to this rule is the seventh floor which is my private penthouse and is the only static home I actually use on RetroMC despite my others spread out across the server. It contains some basic furiture and decoration. Alongside some of my writing on various signs. Its private and invite only however staff are welcome.

I'm very proud of Mezzanine Tower! I do think its "wow factor" is significantly reduced by the fact I had access to flight and godmode for the vast majority of its construction but it was still a very exhausting project and I think in retrospect I really rushed the project. But everybody seems to like it and I'm really excited to see if more people have claimed and built in more rooms whenever I come back.

"Union Tower"

My last great project on the server was Union Tower which was constructed in RMCURA throughout March of 2025. It was made out of obligation to  Q0AL who had greatly assisted me with the terraforming work on PSK prior. It was made almost entirely out of leftover materials from Mezzanine Towers construction and a large amount of clay. and only took less than two weeks to construct as it is the smallest of my mega projects so far.

Construction And Terraforming.

I sadly have very few pictures of Union Tower being built and the ones I do have are pretty awful. it was hastily designed on my test world mostly entirely within a voice call with various other people. However its generally viewed as a great build.

It is constructed mainly of snow, clay and spruce logs with an absurd quantity of trapdoors used as a detailing block. both towers which are named actually (Red is the Tower of Pride and Purple is the Tower of Envy) feature full interiors and both have a full water elevator and are connected by the skybridge which was shockingly tedious to design

After it was finished I have very infrequently returned to the build however I am quite proud of it! I am very happy with how its turned out and am happy that Q0AL and the other members of RMCRUA really enjoy it and I hope they use it for future events and what not.

"Deville Tower" (Canceled)

This is a canceled project that was intended to go in the village Lednice The owner of Lednice  Vyrvin had requested me to construct a skyscraper in a plot of my choice which I agreed to do howeverI was unable to come up with a proper design and now with current events I am unlikely to ever attempt to finish the project but I may complete the towers design on my test world some day.
