NorthernEmpires is a nation which contains [[NorthernEmpires|the village of the same name]] among several others. It was created on 7 April 2026, becoming the first [[nation]] created since the introduction of [[JVillage#Features|nations within JVillage]] earlier on the same day.

As of August 2026, it is one of three nations on RetroMC, the others being the [[Miterian_Empire|Miterian Empire]] and [[United Steves of America]].

==History==

In the past, nations existed on RetroMC as part of the Towny plugin. After the move to [[JVillage]], these ceased to exist. However on 7 April 2026, nations were introduced into JVillage, costing $50,000 to create. The owner of the [[NorthernEmpires|NorthernEmpires village]], {{user|SFRricraz63}}, created the NorthernEmpires nation on 7 April 2026, becoming the first player to create a nation under the new system.

On 19 April 2026, [[DogTown]] and [[PumpkinWood]] joined the nation, followed by GoatedLands on 21 April 2026.

At some point between late April and early July 2026, Goated left the nation, becoming the first village to do so.

The villages [[Canada]] and WoolMart joined the nation on 5 July 2026.

[[RMCURA]], owned by NorthernEmpires assistant {{user|Spencer199}}, joined the nation in mid-July 2026.
