To reset your password on the MC server:

For cracked users: (no MC Java license) Open a ticket on the Discord server.
For premium users (those of you that own a Minecraft: Java Edition license): Use BetaEvolutions or a similar method to automatically login, but if you can't use either, then:

1. Join mc.retromc.org on Beta 1.7.3 at least once.
2. Do the same, but this time, join on Release 1.12.2 or above. (Later versions may or may not work)
   • You'll be disconnected and the kick message will contain your new password – do NOT reveal the password to anyone.
3. Repeat step 1, and use the temporary password to log in.
4. Run /changepassword <old-password> <new-password>. (The angle-brackets are placeholder values.)
5. Optionally, use a password manager and store your new password in it.

This process can also be used to set passwords for new players when BetaEvolutions-enforcement mode is active.

There are 2 pages you can use depending on whether (or not) you attached an email address to your wiki account.

• If you have, use Special:PasswordReset.
• If you're logged in and don't have an email attached, use Special:ChangePassword, and after that, go directly to Special:Preferences and set an email address.
• If you're logged out and didn't set an email address, make a "Login Problem"/auth ticket on the Discord server.
