Krissofer pretending to eat the cake at the Avalon Meeting on 12 August 20261st Avalon Cake Controversy
During the Avalon Meeting in the middle of the FishTown War, the hosts at Nacra,
Krissofer and
Vyrvin offered cake to the attendees. Almost everyone refused to eat the cake, fearing poison.
Krissofer insisted it was not poisoned, and pretended to eat some, to encourage the guests. A singular United Steves honor guard member,
VainAngel was ultimately the only one who did consume some of the cake. This lack of culinary participation greatly offended the hosts. However, fearing the summit be de-railed, they did not press the issue, and the meeting continued on as scheduled.
VainAngel did not succumb to poison.
2nd Avalon Cake Controversy
On Oct 9 2026, Northern Emperor
SFRricraz63 attended a party at Avalon. Feeling extremely hungry, he ate not 1, not 2, not 5, but 8 full-sized 1-square meter cakes. This elicited extreme negative reactions in the international media, with high-ranking Avalon official
Pittofer condemning this action.
SFRricraz63 pled for mercy, including an appeal to United Steves Commander-in-Chief
Bawhoppen for support. Being treaty-bound allies (see the Treaty of VillageTown),
Bawhoppen issued a small personal rebuke, but largely dropped the matter. However, this ultimately did accelerate the strain on already deteriorating diplomatic relations between both nations.
